News and Events

Arlington Street Church Appreciation Luncheon

Every April a designated Sunday the FNSP prepares a meal for the members of Arlington Street Church (one of our co-founders) to thank them for their continued support and commitment since 1984. Volunteers are always needed to assist with preparation, serving and clean up.

Dignity Boston Appreciation Luncheon

Every June during Pride weekend, the FNSP prepares a meal for the members of Dignity Boston (one of our co-founders) to thank them for their continued support and commitment since 1984. The meal is prepared at Arlington Street church and then transported to St. John's church were it is served. Volunteers are always needed to assist with preparation, serving and clean up.

The FNSP First Night Celebration

Each New Year's Eve, The FNSP conducts one of our grassroots fundraising efforts. You will find us on the corner of Arlington and Boylston Streets during the First Night parade selling hot beverages and home made cookies. This is a yearly favorite for our volunteers and parade watchers, alike. Stop by for a warm cup of cocoa or pitch-in and help serve!

Patriots Day Fundraiser

During the Boston Marathon, The FNSP conducts another of our grassroots fundraising efforts. You will find us again on the corner of Arlington and Boylston Streets selling hot beverages and homemade cookies. As you wait for the runners to reach the finish line, stop by for a coffee and cookie and a chat.

The Walk for Hunger

Hosted by Project Bread, the Walk for Hunger takes place each year on the 1st Sunday of May. Rain or shine, this 20-mile walk raises money for over 400 area hunger relief programs, including the Friday Night Supper Program. Each year we give our support by forming a walk team. Join our team for all 20 miles, or just part of the walk. For more information on Project Bread, please visit www.projectbread.org.
